Cultivated in northeastern Madagascar, in the Sava coast near Vohemar, Sambava, Antalaha and Andapa, vanilla is exoticism at its finest.

Vanilla contains rich, creamy notes with a sweet buttery aroma. Because of the intensive labor required to produce it, vanilla is the most expensive spice after saffron.
