Widely grown on tropical islands, the "flower of flowers" has distinctive yellow and star-shaped blooms. Prized for its aromatic extract, ylang-ylang fills the air with exotic floral notes.

Considered romantic and uplifting because of its rich floral scent, ylang-ylang is often diffused in bedrooms and added to personal care products.

Traditionally used in aromatherapy to sharpen the senses, ylang-ylang is considered a natural energizer that combats insomnia and chronic fatigue syndrome. This exotic bloom is also favored for its natural hair thickening and skin healing properties.
Literally translates as "flower of flowers", ylang-ylang originated from the Philippines and was said to be first distilled in 1860. In Indonesia and Malaysia, this tropical flower is often spread across the beds of newlyweds for its energizing and aphrodisiac properties. It is also used to adorn celebrations and scent linen.
